How are grain futures traded? They are traded almost exactly like all of those other futures I mentioned and that you are familiar with.   They are traded on the same Exchange the CME out of Chicago.   They are traded in 5,000 bushels and move in ¼ tick increments at $12.5 a tick.

Trading in all CBOT Grain TAS products will be 19:00-07:45 and 08:30-13:15 Chicago time. All resting TAS orders at 07:45 will remain in the book for the 08:30 opening, unless cancelled. The corn contract is for 5,000 bushels, or roughly 127 metric tons. For example, when corn is trading at $2.50 a bushel, the contract has a value of $12,500 (5,000 bushels x $2.50 = $12,500).
